Why '''Do it Yourself''' (DIY)? There are only three good reasons to do it yourself.
1- To Save Money. If you can do a project effectively by yourself and it saves you money then DIY is a good option. Just remember the old saying "Time is Money". So consider the money and the time and if you can do the project effectively.
2- You can Do It Better. You may take more pride in your work then a minimuim wage employee. And as my father would say, "If you want it done right then Do-It-Yourself." If you are confident in your ability to do it, especially if the project requires little to no skill then DIY is a good option.

3- To Learn a New Skill. This is perhaps the trump card in reasons for DIY projects. I believe that individuals need to be self sufficient. I believe in being educated. I believe in increasing my knowledge daily. DIY projects are a great opportunity to learn.
== Good Do-It-Yourself Projects ==
If the DIY project meets any one of the above reasons then it can qualify as a good DIY project. If it meets 2 or all 3 then it is an even better DIY project.
== List of Good Projects ==
Do-It-Yourself Pest Control This is a good DIY project. It qualifies for 2 reasons. Its a cheap pest control solution and you can do it better yourself. Or as Joe would say "Do-it-Better for Less!" and "Making the Average Joe a Pest Pro."
Painting Walls Another good project because anyone can do it and it cost less to do it by yourself then to hire a professional.
